A relationship between an omega and a beta may be frowned upon by society, but Mel is an omega who lives life on his own terms. He's already been through a difficult medical transition and the hell on earth that was the Mountain Ridge Breeding Program, but he came through it all stronger and determined to protect other omegas from facing the torture and abuse he went through. Mel is far more interested in hunting down rogue alphas than mating with them, and there's not a doubt in his mind that he and the beta Toval were destined for each other. The only thing missing in the omega's strangely perfect life is the family his mate has always wanted. Over the years, Toval has sacrificed a lot for his mate's fast-paced career as the head of the Tribunal Task Force, and Mel knows it's time to settle down. Unfortunately for them both, Mel's last encounter with Cutter, the omega mastermind behind a nefarious omega trafficking ring, has left him marked in more ways than one. When Mel goes undercover at an omega auction to capture Cutter so he can move on with his life, the last thing he expects is for the alpha who places the winning bid on him to imprint.
What starts out as a practical arrangement soon becomes complicated as Mel, an omega who hates alphas, and Hassan, an alpha and single father who never thought he would love again, forge a connection through the unlikeliest of circumstances. Hassan, Mel and Toval will have to reimagine what it means to be a family if they're going to survive the most sinister foe Mountain Ridge has faced yet.
This shifter romance contains mature subject material that follows MPREG tropes and may have a rough road leading up to the inevitable happily-ever-after. Readers 18+ Only.

**Possible spoilers ahead**I have read the previous 5 books in this series, and very much enjoyed them all, and I was excited to see Toval and Mel's story up next, even if there was another mate to be thrown into the mix. MMM is not my favorite, but I can enjoy it if it's done well. In this case, not so much. I absolutely am in disbelief at all the 5 star reviews on this book. First of all, Mel spends the first 80% of the book being a complete d*ck. (yes, I know he had his reasons, but... Yeah, still an utter jerk who took Toval for granted in a big way, never considering his mate's feelings and needs important enough to put first) There isn't anything lovable about Mel's character whatsoever. Hassan is a likable character, as is his son, so positive points there. Which brings us to Toval... Toval has been a beloved character for several books, very dynamic, sexy, kind, loving, all that and a bag of chips. Imagine my dismay when I kept reading, and reading, and realized that Mel and the new mate, Hassan, were the ONLY mates that were to be given a voice in this book from their point of view... and not only that, Toval was to hardly play a role in the story at all, being pretty much relegated to the sidelines! Toval was seriously shortchanged story-wise, never seemed truly happy with how things turned out, even in the end, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him move on from his "mates" in the future.
The 3 of these mates never connect in a romantic way to make it a true MMM through most of the story, to the point that it's safe to say this book isn't a romance at all. Toval and Hassan never fall in love, but become "friends" in the end, and are able to "share" Mel. That's it.
Overall, this story was a huge letdown with a serious disconnect between the heroes, and I'll have to seriously consider whether to continue the series if there are more to come.

Their Omega MMM Shifter Romance The Mountain Shifters Book 6 edition by LC Davis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This was my least favorite installment. Toval was an after thought. There was no chemistry period between any of the trio.
Rating 3.5 stars
I have mixed feelings about this book. I really enjoyed the story itself. My main problem is that there was not very much romantic involvement between the three MCs. In fact, Toval played a very small role in the overall story. I would have loved to see the events of the story played out from his point of veiw, but alas we only see Mel and Hassan's perspective. If the author wanted to write a true triad, then was should have seen more from Tovan's point of view.
I am also not sure I like where the author took the story in terms of Cutter. That whole ark was a bit creepy to me. Can't really say more without spoilers.
(Read through 's KU program)
All that being said, I did enjoy the book and I recommend it, especially if you are a fan of the series. I'm pretty sure that the events in this book will play heavily in the next one.
*SPOILERS AHEAD
I have been reading this series as it comes out and enjoyed the previous books, however, this installment was disappointing. I actually quite liked the plot with Cutter and the omega auctions but I didn't at all enjoy how the romantic part of the plot was told. I have read MMM books before that were written very well and enjoyed them. Unfortunately this book was essentially MM with Toval relegated to third wheel status which I felt to be a bit of a waste of a good character. I think I could have really enjoyed this story and these characters if Toval's POV was included and a relationship developed between all three MCs throughout the book rather than having two pretty independent relationships and one viewpoint pretty much ignored.
Mel needed a great story and this was it. Maybe now he will get his happily ever after in the end
What a twist it worked out. Omega's brother was a bit of a shock, including the cruel hateful things he did. The 3 of them worker it all out so they could be happy
I'm pissed off with this book. Why go in this direction? Toval doesn't deserve to be demonized like this. This storyline is not a bright spot for the series and it's leeching into book 7.
What a powerful, exciting story for Mel and Toval. Hassan is a new Alpha and was a perfect addition to the Mountain Ridge Pack. Jaspar, his small son, is a sweet boy. I bet he and Lucida will have plenty of adventures with Winnie and Tyr in future books. This, to me, was the most unlikely couple to add a Alpha. I thought this was a magnificently written, emotionally charged, exciting story. This series, just gets better and better. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AMAZING SERIES!!!!!
