Fast-moving story line with characters that are full of life. You instantly feel like you're bar-hopping in South Philly as you get to know the players. Then once you're pulled in, the suspense grips you and you can't put this book down until you've turned the last page. Beautifully layered with multiple points of view, narrated in first person by four different characters. It reminded me of a modern-day Faulkner novel. I had to go back and re-read the first and the last chapters again to make sure I hadn't missed anything.Product details

Had me hooked from the start- great character development and pace. Couldn't put it down! Highly recommend as an easy summer read.
This is not my typical type of book, but I picked it up after a friend recommended it. Glad I did! I especially like the different point of views.
Written in first person....in places 4 or more sentences in a row start with 'I.' Need to work on sentence structure/development. Main character is Jim, and restaurant with best cheesesteak is named Jim's. Many other names for restaurant....needs a little imagination. Lacks character development. Has a lot of loose sex. Is that a remedy for being upset? Some medical terms explained, others just there. Respiratory treatment is PEEP, not Peep. A few typos and issues with tense.
Glad it was only $2.99.
Easy read with a twist. Romance and heartache intertwined with a mystery. Great descriptive prose. Add it to your list!
