Although for many people, this is a booklet mostly of common sense, I did find the writing sensible, easy-to-read and helpful.
I liked the author's ability to get to the point, yet to also provide sufficient detail free of exaggeration.
If you are having difficulties dealing with manipulators or liars, this is a great book of advice to understand how they are operating, why they do it, and how to deal with it most successfully. Indeed, as I was reading the section on liars, I reflected back to my most successful and most exciting working years. The man who so adroitly got my best performance was, well, guilty of most of the faults discussed in this book. Yet, to be honest, I loved working for the guy, because, despite his faults, he was a genius at getting his people to perform. Just wish I'd have read this book back then so I could more easily adjust to his management talents.
